Let’s talk about money for a moment. I know, it’s not something people like to talk about. In fact, some may consider it taboo, a dirty word, a stigma. But the fact of the matter is money is one of the forces that makes the world go round. Okay, not literally, but can you imagine our world without it? Everything would come to a standstill and things would get scary fast.
The money stigma
Maybe if we talked more about money and finances we’d realize that we’ve been comparing ourselves to others and trying to keep up under false pretenses. Perhaps that acquaintance on Facebook that just posted pictures of her family’s annual trip to Hawaii is putting all those travel expenses on credit cards because she can’t afford it otherwise. Or perhaps that coworker you think is struggling financially is actually bringing a bagged lunch to work every day instead of going out to lunch with everyone else because he’s putting every extra dime into savings and his 401K.
What about you?
I’ll be breaking through the stigma and talking about money and what you can do to better your financial situation. Do you sometimes wonder how you got into the financial state you’re currently in?
You might be drowning in debt at this very moment, struggling to make even your minimum payments. You cringe every time you check the mail, every time you check your bank balance, every time your friends invite you to another fun but expensive vacation or activity you can’t afford.
Or maybe you have no debt but you feel like you’ve been running a rat race for years. Money in, money out. You’ve barely saved any of your hard earned dollars and you can’t seem to figure out where it’s all gone. You’re tired of working your tail off and having nothing to show for it.
No matter what your financial situation, I know sometimes it feels easier to avoid and delay dealing with your finances. It’s like throwing a huge mess into a closet, closing the door, and pretending it’s not even there. Trust me, you’ll feel more at ease about your finances after you’ve formed a plan and tackled them head on!
Financial freedom is within reach!
I’m here to help you do that and to support you in any way I can. Here at Treasure for Tomorrow I will teach you about all the steps you can take to budget and live frugally so that you can fund a bright future for yourself and your family – like finding ways to make more money, the best way to tackle your debt, how to save money on food, and much more! Not to mention, I’ll show you that budgeting and being frugal doesn’t mean sacrificing all the fun things in life. It means choosing what to give up in order to have more money to spend on the things that mean the most to you.
Money doesn’t have to be a stigma! You can talk about it and educate yourself to make the most of your money! So go make yourself some coffee or tea (notice I said make, not buy!). Settle in and read my next blog post to find out how to take those first steps toward financial freedom.
